Meanwhile, FBI agent Donna Zamora joins forces with the NYPD to avert a new threat, all the while dipping her toes in the dating pool and deciding whether her inevitable showdown with Joe will end in bed or prison. As?their paths converge, and time runs out, they expose a high-level conspiracy, involving corporate and government power, to control US politics by manipulating terror, money and?media, all funded by drugs. The chase takes them from the streets of Spanish Harlem to a corporate high-rise, from a Matzoh warehouse in deepest Brooklyn to the 9/11 memorial, from a high-security military depot to a bloody Russian bathhouse, all while they themselves are being hunted by villains, by the law, and by the shadowy figures who use the law for evil,?leaving criminals to protect and?serve.??
