ANYTHING BUT EASY

Susie Tate

ANYTHING BUT EASY is what happens when an unconventional sexual health doctor bursts into the perfectly structured life of a Tory cabinet minister.
Kira Murphy is a liability: always has been. She might be small but her personality and heart are not: a sexual health doctor with a foul mouth, pink streaks in her hair, a bizarre world view, a reputation for being 'pathologically social', and a huge crush on the current Minister of State for Business, Energy and Clean Growth... she's weird and lovable in equal measure.
The last thing Barclay Lucas needs is a liability. He's made it into the cabinet with single-minded determination, sheer grit, and serious conservatism. But then a crazy, pink-haired, tiny dynamo turns his life upside-down and serious for Barclay is a thing of the past.
But he's never liked feeling out of control - something he experiences with Kira on a daily basis. So he pushes her away when she needs him the most, and unfortunately for him she retreats at head-spinning speed.
It's only then he realizes that although being with Kira is anything but easy, the grey, boring alternative is far worse. He'll have to use all his hard-earned political negotiating and maneuvering skills to get her back. Because after being dragged from black and white into full Technicolor with Kira, Barclay knows that, however serious and worthy his life is, he can't live it without her.

Love and Politics are the main ingredients of this hugely entertaining, sometimes heart-breaking but ultimately feel-good contemporary romance.
Drawing on Susie's own experiences as a doctor, ANYTHING BUT EASY is a poignant romantic comedy that also gives a tantalising insight into what goes on in hospital medicine.
A romantic comedy with a twist, which also deals with topical themes of HIV, sexual harassment at work and the pressure to conform. Seriously funny, actually.

Susie Tate is a general practitioner and author living in Dorset with her four scrummy little boys (well, one's not quite so little but it's the mental age that counts!). She loves medicine and romance, and in her books she seeks to combine the two. Of course, the health service is crazy at the moment for Susie and her husband (also a doctor working in anaesthetics) but reading and writing keep her sane. She is the author of seven contemporary romances, which have made the top 50 in the Amazon charts in both the US and the UK, and she is working on her next novel.

This book is fantastic for its humour and witty dialogue but along with its loveliness, it deals with serious topics such as sexual harassment in the work place, discussion and advocacy of sexual health along with the serious mental health issues of people that are dealing with infectious disease diagnoses. The author does a great job developing multifaceted characters and underlying storylines that run concurrently with the main love story.

This book had me crying I was laughing so hard at points! It also had some serious moments as well. Def recommend!

Highly entertaining read, and I read it in one sitting. If your a fan of opposites attract romance with plenty of humour and touching drama, then this book is for you.

I was so hooked it took me less than 24 hours to finish. It was light and fun and quick and I loved it.

I highly recommend, everyone takes 3-4 hours out of their schedule, however busy, however necessary and chew a little on this one. Anything but easy to put down. A true Happily Ever After that will fill you up like a delicious home-cooked meal.

I was looking for a bit of light relief and this book perfectly fit the bill. I found it to be a compelling read and could not put it down. It is so refreshing, easy to read, humorous and I really enjoyed the opposites attract trope. This is such a fun story and the epilogue is wonderful. And gave it 5 stars as it hit the nail on the head for me.

This is a definite must read! I absolutely loved everything about Kira and though it took the man awhile I also fell for Barclay! Tate hit it out of the park with this one!

You all seriously need to read this book. The romance, the drama, the relationship issues between her and Barclay and of course the chemistry - all of it made it such an awesome read. I can write an essay on how much I liked it and it would not be enough. I highly recommend it if you are a true romantic. It's a must!
