BARNACLE IS BORED

Barnacle is stuck on the underside of a pier, wishing he had something to do. Every day is exactly the same. The tide comes in and Barnacle gets wet. The tide goes out and Barnacle dries off. Boring!

Barnacle wants something EXCITING to happen. Then a colorful fish swims by. Barnacle bets the fish doesn't have a boring life. In the end, it turns out exciting isn't always better.

His latest leveled reader, Please, No More Nuts! was published in January 2018 as a follow up to We Need More Nuts! which came out in September 2017 (Penguin). He is also the author/illustrator of A Pig, A Fox and Stinky Socks a follow up to my 2016 Geisel Honor Book, A Pig, A Fox, and A Box. We Need More Nuts! and A Pig, A Fox, and Stinky Socks were selected for the Best of the Best Books 2017 by the Chicago Pub lic Library.

He has a BFA in Sculpture from Clemson University.
