BED AND BREAKUP

Susie Dumond

The next delightful queer rom-com from Susie Dumond. BED AND BREAKUP is a second chance romance set in a cozy mountain town, as two exes reunite to fix up and sell the bed and breakfast that destroyed their marriage but find that they may not be so ready to move on from itor from each otherafter all.
Once upon a time, Molly and Robin made the Hummingbird Inn a trendy travel destination in quirky Eureka Springs. But when dueling career ambitions drove a wedge in their marriage, the young couple separated, transferred the inn to a property management firm, and never looked back. until now. Seven years later, Molly is a successful artist who's back in town on commission to create pieces for several Eureka Springs businesses, and there's nowhere better to get to work than her old studio at the Hummingbird. Robin is a celebrity chef who's back in town to recharge after a string of failed restaurants has left her bank account and her career in jeopardy, and there's nowhere better to reinvent herself than her old kitchen at the Hummingbird. They both expected to have the space to themselves, but when they happen to arrive in Eureka Springs at the exact same time, an awkward reunion in the inn's driveway brings reality crashing down. Turns out they're stuck together. again. Both women feel entitled to their shared property, furious that the other refuses to leave, and resort to a hilarious series of escalating pranks in hopes of scaring the other off. When neither of them budges, they resolve to renovate the Hummingbird to reverse the terrible interior design decisions that the management firm made, sell it, and finally get out of each other's lives once and for all. But of course it's not that simple, because the work of restoring the home they both loved reignites memories and unexpected warmth. Maybe it's not too late for the Hummingbird, or for the two of them. With a buyer interested in the inn, and Robin's career on the verge of taking off again, the couple will need to decide quickly if it really is time to say goodbye or if they might still have a future together in Eureka Springs. Bursting with wit and charm and featuring a lovable cast of supporting characters (and a sweet cat called Marmalade), BED AND BREAKUP is a heartwarming lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers romance that explores what happens when the one place you dreaded returning to ends up being the place you really belong.
