DEAR EARTH... FROM YOUR FRIENDS IN ROOM 5

What begins as a monthly exchange of ideas between Earth and Room 5 grows into a lasting friendship.

This picture book is a celebration of every child's ability to connect with the environment and make a positive impact. When the Kids in Room 5 decide to write Earth a letter asking how they can help protect the planet, they are thrilled to get a reply. Over the course of the year, the Kids in Room 5 put their new-found knowledge into practice. In this uplifting book with a strong message about caring for the earth, young readers will learn about environmental conservation along with simple things they can do to help. Everyone can be an Earth Hero! The inside jacket includes an activity poster.

Luisa Uribe likes drawing, reading, and chasing the cat around the house! She lives in Bogota, Columbia, where students (like the Earth Heroes in Room 5) learn about ways to protect the earth. Of her many illustration projects, her true love is picture books. She was honored with the Society of Illustrators Dilys Evans Founders Award.
