Miller has also contributed music pieces to a number of publications, including People, U.S. News & World Report, St. Petersburg Times, Washington Times, Dallas Observer, and Houston Press. He worked as a metro reporter for the Dallas Morning News, a national reporter for the Washington Times and is currently an investigative reporter for the online news site Texas Watchdog
