ERNST LEITZ III

This new book, edited by Knut Kühn-Leitz, who has already published books on Ernst Leitz I and his grandfather Ernst Leitz II, focuses on the time from the mid 1950s until 1976, when Ernst Leitz III (1906-1976) acted as a managing director of the Wetzlar based family-owned Leitz enterprise, together with his brothers Ludwig and Günther.

These years have been characterized by innovation, diversification and the implementation of various branches within the company’s business areas of microscopy, photography and high precision measurement.
