FLYING DOGS

Inspired by Flinn, her Frisbee-loving pup, German photographer Julia Christe set out to capture dogs from a unique perspective: mid-air:
She succeeded!

The resulting series of photographs went viral earlier this year, with features in The Guardian (UK), The Huffington Post, and Today and requests from around the world to republish the images.

FLYING DOGS is poised to follow in the paw steps of recent bestsellers like Underwater Dogs, Shake, Maddie On Things, and Find Momo. Dogs of all breeds and sizes will soar, making for a hilarious and aesthetically compelling collection that will resonate with animal lovers and photography buffs alike. It will include an introduction that addresses the making of the series and production process, Julia’s personal relationship with her dogs and other animals, and her experiences as a lifelong photographer of animals.

Julia Christe is a German photographer and animal lover who studied Communication Design at the University of Essen/Folkwangen in Germany. Her work been shown nationally and internationally in individual and group exhibitions. Julia and her family live on a farm with donkeys, horses, goats, cats and two dogs, Flinn and Turre.
