GREATSHADOW

Following the accidental death of her partner-in-crime, rogue thief Infidel signs up on a quest to slay the baddest dragon of them all - Greatshadow, the primal dragon of fire, who gazes on mankind through the eyes of a million flickering candles. Unknown to Infidel, her partner, Stagger, is still very much with her, a disembodied ghost whose soul is tethered to the knife that killed him and is now carried by the woman he loved. Unknown to Stagger, Infidel has a secret past that this mission will force her to confront, not least as it was organised by her father, the King, and the party is led by Lord Tower, the noble knight whom she once left standing at the alter. Even without these complications, this mission would be no push-over, for the dragon has bested every army thrown against him, but then he's never faced a party featuring a flying knight, a shape-shifter, an invisible assassin, or a swordswoman with invulnerable skin.

James Maxey is the author of Bitterwood, Dragonforge and Dragonseed. After graduating from the Odyssey Fantasy Writers' Workshop and Orson Scott Card's Writer's Boot Camp, James won a Phobos Award for his short story, Empire of Dreams and Miracles. Phobos Books later published James' debut novel, the cult-classic superhero tale Nobody Gets the Girl.
