He worked closely with Spartan Games to help build the lore for Halo: Fleet Battles and played an instrumental role in the incorporation of the Arbiter character into the fighting game Killer Instinct. Kiel Phegley is a writer of comics and books for young readers. In 2022, he published Strikers (Lerner Books/Graphic Universe) with artist Jacques Khouri.
