HIGH FIVE
From the creators of the New York Times bestseller Dragons Love Tacos comes a rollicking interactive high five competition--starring YOU!
Discover the lost art of the HIGH FIVE and improve your slapping skills just in time for the annual high five contest! From hand-limbering stretches to lessons on five-ing with finesse, readers are guided through a series of interactive challenges, each goofier than the next.
Acclaimed creative duo Adam Rubin and Daniel Salmieri have dreamed up another one-of-a-kind, laugh-out-loud book that kids will beg to read again and again.
Selling points:
Smoking hot sales track: Adam and Dan's Dragons Love Tacos have sold more than a million copies and Dragons Love Tacos 2: The Sequel was an instant New York Times bestseller. There are over 1.5 million dragon books in- print!
Say goodbye to the fourth wall: Like The Book with No Pictures and Press Here, High Five obliterates the barrier between narrator and reader by placing kids at the center of the action for a real "hands-on" reading experience.
Something new from a best-selling creative team: Publishers Weekly called Adam and Dan the "weirdest, funniest guys working in kids' lit today," and their newest project certainly lives up to that hype, delivering plenty of the zany humor and oddball comedic antics their fans know and love.
Read it aloud: Lilting rhymes make this a natural pick for story time, and kids will love trying out their snazzy new "five" skills on the book and each other!
ADAM RUBIN is the New York Times best-selling author of a half dozen critically acclaimed picture books, including Dragons Love Tacos, Dragons Love Tacos 2: The Sequel, Secret Pizza Party, and Robo-Sauce. He spent ten years working as a creative director in the advertising industry before leaving his day job to write full-time. Adam has a keen interest in improv comedy, camping, and magic tricks. He lives in Barcelona, Spain.
DANIEL SALMIERI has illustrated many fantastic picture books, including Secret Pizza Party and the New York Times bestsellers Dragons Love Tacos, Dragons Love Tacos 2: The Sequel, and Robo-Sauce. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York, constantly drawing and painting images of ninja turtles, dinosaurs, and fighter jets (not in the same scene...), and graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
