In 2017, Rober J. Sawyer won the Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy Association's inaugural Best of the Decade' Aurora Award for his trilogy The Neanderthal Parallax (HOMINIDS, HUMANS and HYBRIDS). He is the first recipient.
