The first two books were finalists in Writing Magazine's 2014 Self-Published Book of the Year Award and the last two selected as Historical Novel Society's indie Editor's Choices and longlisted for the HNS Annual Indie Award in 2015 and 2016 respectively. Alison Morton writes Roman-themed alternate history thrillers with strong heroines. She grabbed a first degree in French, German and Economics in the mid-70s and went back to school' for a masters' in history thirty years later.

Originally from Tunbridge Wells (but not disgusted'), Alison has worked in central government, the City of London, in the voluntary and small business sectors, and latterly as a translation company owner. Six years in a Territorial Army special communications regiment gave her the opportunity to do all sorts of exciting things no civilian would ever experience.
