The Life and Times of Pasquale Rotella

Pasquale Rotella's memoir, is a contemporary retelling of the American Dream. It’s the story of a kid who started out handing out hundreds of lollipops at a party, just to see the people around him smile, and ended up throwing a party so big that it got a hero’s welcome in Vegas.
You may not know Pasquale Rotella’s name, but you’ve probably marveled at the empire he’s built. Born to immigrant parents in Venice, California, Pasquale fell in with the gang banger crowd at an early age and was saved by the rave scene just then taking roots in LA. Without a high school degree or a dollar to his name, he started throwing little parties in off-the-beaten-track venues—which over the past twenty years have grown into a multi-billion dollar business. Last year he married Playboy Bunny Holly Maddison, threw the biggest music festival in the country with 345,000 people in Las Vegas over three days, and sold half of his company, Insomniac Events, to Live Nation for 50 million dollars.

A story about a kid who never quite fit in to the traditional model of academic success, but became the figurehead for the electronic dance scene in the United States, sold a million tickets in a year, and recently found himself included in Billboard Magazine’s list of top 100 music industry influencers. A kid who found himself up late at night, unable to sleep, who built himself a nocturnal kingdom to rule. The EDM scene is enormous and continuing to grow, but until now no book has married a history of its rise to a riveting personal story, making the world accessible to the general public. And as the biggest name in EDM, Pasquale’s book will also be the one book his hundreds of thousands of fans are going to pick up alongside their next event ticket. It’s a hell of a story!
