In his historical and literary introduction to the Gospels and the Acts of the Apostles, Armin Baum develops alternative answers to the classic questions of the science of New Testament introduction. Besides language, narrative style, authorship, literary form, the synoptic question and the time of creation he discusses text critical peculiarities and canon theological problems. A special focus lies on the Old Testament influence of the New Testament historical books as well as on the deep reaching influence of the antique culture of remembrance in their creation.
