UNICEF calls experiencing domestic violence as a child “one of the most damaging unaddressed human rights violations in the world today.” This little-known and infrequently talked about issue affects hundreds of millions worldwide. Today, more than half of all children who experience domestic violence are being raised by a parent who was a child of domestic violence. Without awareness and change, the cycle will likely continue from one generation to the next.

The mission of Invincible is to inform and inspire those people who have lived with domestic violence, as well as those who love them, work with them, teach them, and mentor them.

Through powerful first person stories, insightful commentary based on the most recent research from the social science and psychology communities, and the author’s own experiences, Invincible provides a deeper understanding of the issues and people involved in domestic violence – and offers proven ways to deal with the many challenges that witnesses to domestic violence face every day.
