IT'S OK TO BE PRICKLY
Natasa Jovanic Nastya Ryabtseva
It is hard to make friends when you are covered in prickly needles that everyone is scared of.
Theodor the Hedgehog is so lonely he is prepared to do anything - even turn himself inside out, quite literally - to make other animals like him.
But when he meets Sofia the Tortoise, Theodor discovers that a real friend will appreciate you for who you are - and that only when you celebrate your true self instead of fighting against it will you be able to realize your full potential.
Nastya Ryabtseva is a Saint Petersburg-born Jerusalem-based journalist and educator. Ryabtseva has worked for various NGOs and in her journalistic writing covered such social issues as homelessness, adoption, disability, etc. In March 2022, Ryabtseva founded Wild Walks, an initiative offering healing community experiences to Ukrainian- and Russian-speaking teens who had to move to Israel because of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The Jerusalem Post recently released an article about the project.
Natasa Jovanic is an artist and illustrator from Bosnia and Herzegovina. A graduate of the Academy of Arts, Banja Luka and the University of the Arts, Berlin, Jovanic has worked on magazine illustration (Bloom, UK; Honest History, USA), winning the Ilustrofest's First Prize. Jovanic has also illustrated books for children, including Patrick Kellegher's A WITCH AND A WIZARD LIVE HERE.
