King of Clash – The sorcerer of shadows

Ricky A. L. Knight

A fantastic adventure. An epic battle on the edge of the world. And a boy called to find out the truth about the universe of Clash.

Outside the hut he’d seen a wide meadow, across which ran a stream, spanned by two stone bridges. At the far end loomed the three towers of a castle, surrounded by lush vegetation, with fruit-laden trees and butterflies darting among the flowers. It looked beautiful. Like paradise. Wow. Except for one slight problem. From outside, the door had been blocked by three little green creatures with enormous ears and appalling faces. Silently they stood their ground, as if to say, “You can’t stay in there all day. Sooner or later you’ve got to come out!” Ricky felt the first tear rolling down his cheek. He couldn’t have said which sound he heard first, whether it was the thud of another pair of feet landing on the floor, or the melodic, flutelike voice of a girl uttering without hesitation a single word. “Goblins.”

Ricky is like most kids – he loves soccer and music, and has a crush on his classmate Beth. But suddenly he finds himself catapulted into a world of knights, dragons and goblins. There are castles to defend and epic battles to be fought against a mysterious enemy who chose him as his rival. In arenas that become increasingly harrowing, Ricky learns to deal with situations unlike anything he’s ever experienced while growing up. There are plenty of opportunities for him to channel his anger and use it as a secret weapon that helps him overcome his fears. He realizes that being a hero requires little more than believing in yourself.

This is a story of loyalty and friendship, about learning to believe in yourself and making your first serious decisions. It also stars a baby dragon who learns to say “WhatsApp”, and a pack of rowdy barbarians drunk on apple cider, causing havoc in a goblin hut, with a wild boar tamer DJ spinning records all night long.
