Brilliant but deaf French teenager Emma Barre has disappeared while visiting the City's famous Pier 39 with her parents. She is the latest victim of a serial killer able to spirit his victims away despite in full view of visitors from all over the world. Emma's only hope is troubled SFPD Detective Michael O'Higgins, currently taking Acid as part of an experimental program for PSTD patients.
