LOOKING BACK LIFE WAS BEAUTIFUL
Based on the Webby-award winning Instagram account Drawings for My Grandchildren, this beautifully illustrated book celebrates the special love shared between grandparents and their grandchildren.
Korean grandparents, Grandpa Chan and Grandma Marina decided to learn how to use Instagram as a way to stay connected to their four grandchildren who are spread around the globe. Whether it's to celebrate Astro becoming a big brother to Lua or Arthur's groundbreaking 9th grade science report, the Chan's drawings and accompanying missives to their grandchildren echo with the kind of family love that spans generations and traverses geography.
A testament to the great wisdom only grandparents can provide, LOOKING BACK LIFE WAS BEAUTIFUL, will inspire grandparents the world over to tell their children about the things they've learned about what's important in life.
Kyong Ja Ahn and Chan Jae Lee, also known as Grandpa Chan & Grandma Marina, are 77-year-old grandparents who live in Brazil. They write and draw for their three grandchildren, Arthur, Allan, and Astro. Grandpa Chan is the primary illustrator, and Grandma Marina writes the accompanying stories, reflections, and memories. Their Instagram is @drawings_for_my_grandchildren.
