MAKE NO SMALL PLANS
Jeremy Schwartz Jeff Rosenthal Brett Leve Elliott Bisnow
Lessons on Thinking Big, Chasing Dreams, and Building Community
The founders of the acclaimed Summit leadership event series tell the story of their unconventional path through the business world as twentysomethings stumbling toward success, sharing the unique lessons for thinking big and achieving improbable goals that they learned along the way.
In 2008, with no event production experience and only two college degrees between the four of them, they became business partners who set out on a mission to build a global events company. With passion, drive, and tenacity, they began cold-calling as many inspiring company founders as they could to convince them to attend their first event. Initially, only nineteen people said yes. Since then, Summit has grown into a global community with events all over the world, and hosting such luminaries as Jeff Bezos, Richard Branson, Jessica Alba, Shonda Rhimes, Brené Brown, and Al Gore, among others.
The founders reveal the experiences that became the cornerstone lessons from their journey, along with teachings from some of the most inspiring entrepreneurs of our time, which includes:
- No Idea Should Go Unspoken
- Don't Worry About Making Mistakes When You're Making History
- Reputations are Earned by the Drop and Lost by the Bucket
- You Don't Get Changes, You Take Them Like Interceptions
- When You Have the Opportunity, It's Always the Right Time
- Become a Favor-Economy Billionaire
Entertaining and empowering, Make No Small Plans shows that anyone can think big, and, with humility, a thirst for knowledge, and a talented team, we all can accomplish the impossible.
Summit founders, Elliott Bisnow, Jeff Rosenthal, Brett Leve, and Jeremy Schwartz are co-owners (along with two venture capitalists) of Powder Mountain, the largest ski resort in the U.S.. They co-manage Summit's consumer tech venture fund, the Summit Action Fund, and are actively involved with Conservation International, Beyond Conflict, Council on Foreign Relations, Anti-Recidivism Coalition, and Drawdown Fund. All four founders are sought-after speakers and have been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Bloomberg, Businessweek, Time, and Fast Company. The Summit series has a slate of conferences scheduled for Fall 2021 and 2022 (www.summit.co).
