Alan Parks was born in Scotland, and worked in the music business before becoming a full-time writer. From cover artwork to videos and photo sessions, he created groundbreaking campaigns for a wide range of artists including New Order, The Streets and Gnarls Barkley. He was also MD of 679 Recordings. He has a degree in Moral Philosophy from Glasgow university and lives in the city.
