MR. WHISKERS AND THE SHENANIGAN SISTERS

Wendelin Van Draanen (Parsons)

Fans of Mystery on Magnolia Circle by Kate Klise will love MR. WHISKERS AND THE SHENANIGAN SISTERS, which follows Mr. Whiskers, also known as Whiskey, a dog living on the streets of modern-day San Francisco.

Mr. Whiskers is protective of his streets, his pack (especially a beautiful long-hair named Sassy) and of the Nanigans' ten-year-old Misty, eleven-year-old Zelda (the Shenanigans), and their dad, Felix, an archaeology professor. Ever since the Nanigans became boarders at the Merryweather Manor, a ghostly place supposedly built by a pirate called Mad-Eye Mick, they've filled Mr. Whiskers' life with love and plenty of treats. He's even starting to grow on Tiana and Jada, the Merryweather's kind but fastidious owners (and Mad-Eye's descendants), who ask their boarders to call them "Auntie". So when a man claiming to be an FBI agent kidnaps the professor in front of everyone one afternoon, Mr. Whiskers is determined to help the girls find their dad, and keep the Manor from experiencing a mass exodus of scared boarders.

To crack the case and sniff out some pirate treasure, Mr. Whiskers and the Shenanigans will have to crack codes and riddles, navigate a hidden staircase, face off with a creepy cat, and more.
