MY LADY JANE

Jodi Meadows Cynthia Hand Brodie Ashton

MY LADY JANE is a comic, romantic, fantastical retelling of the story of Lady Jane Grey, who in real life reigned as Queen of England for nine days before she was beheaded by Mary, Queen of Scots, for her support of the Protestant Church of England. In this version, England is divided between regular people and shapeshifters, and sixteen-year-old Jane must navigate the chaos of the last months of her cousin Edward VI's life, with only her newly arranged husband Gifford's help - and he turns into a horse during the day, which makes things even more complicated. Told from the perspectives of Jane, Gifford, and Edward, this is hilarious historical fantasy novel in the whimsical vein of The Princess Bride.
