THE ROOMMATE
This debut novel, a romantic comedy, will appeal to fans of Jasmine Guillory and Camille Perry.
Clara Wheaton has spent her life avoiding scandalous behavior, so it seems exceptionally unfair that she somehow finds herself sharing the lease on a West Hollywood bungalow with Josh Connors-- who Cosmopolitan calls "catnip for women." Desperate to hide the humiliating circumstances that led to her sudden cross-country move, all Clara wants is to lie low long enough to throw the Greenwich gossips who hound her infamous family off her trail.
She knows nothing good can come from Googling her new roommate, but in her defense, Clara never expected him to return home so soon after she hit play. The resulting confrontation reveals the one thing Josh and Clara can both agree on: women deserve better sex.
When a powerful producer attempts to strongarm Josh into headlining an unsavory business venture, Josh and Clara decide to create a steamy start-up promoting women's pleasure. The risky idea gambles each of their careers and hinges on one condition: no one can ever know about Clara's involvement.
As they struggle to bring their vision to life, their biggest obstacle becomes their inability to keep their hands off one another. A romantic relationship between them is impossible. Josh refuses to let love mess up another comfortable living situation. Clara won't fall for a man her traditional family could never accept. Good thing engaging in thinly-veiled foreplay with a pleasure professional never got anyone into trouble.
When not writing, Rosie Danan is most often found reading, competing against herself in rounds of Chopped featuring the miscellaneous items in her fridge, or petting other people's dogs. She was a Pitchwars 2018 mentee for NEVER HAVE I EVER (now titled THE ROOMMATE).
