AUTHOR & ILLUSTRATOR

Lili Chartrand studied graphic design in Montreal and worked in animated films for many years. In 1998, she discovered writing for young readers and created a world touched by magic, fantasy, humour and kindness.

Caroline Hamel graduated from graphic design school in 1993 and began her career in a small studio in Quebec before putting her talent to work in an advertising agency. Her illustration style took shape following a trip to Europe through the sketches she drew in her travel journal. In 2001, some of the images from this
collection earned her prestigious recognition in Applied Arts magazine. In 2005, Caroline was awarded the Quebec/Wallonia-Brussels Prize.
