PRIMA FACIE
Die deutsche Buehnenfassung von Suzie Millers "Prima Facie" feiert am 27. September 2023 in den Kammerspielen im Deutschen Theater Berlin Premiere. Mercy Dorcas Otieno spielt das Einpersonenstueck.
Suzie Miller's play Prima Facie recently concluded a sell-out West End season starring Jodie Comer (Killing Eve) to rave reviews and will open on Broadway in April/May 2023. A German production is planned for 2023. A film version to star either Margot Robbie or Jennifer Lawrence will begin filming later this year. The West End production broke records as did the National Theatre live screening in cinemas in both Australia and the UK. Productions are planned in a further 15 countries to date. Three other Suzie Miller plays have also been optioned for cinema.
Cate Blake at Picador Australia won a heated auction for ANZ rights to the novelisation of Prima Facie plus a yet untitled second novel. Venetia Butterfield from Hutchinson Heinemann at Cornerstone PRH successfully pre-empted the UK rights for Prima Facie and will publish in October 2023 to coincide with the ANZ publication. It is currently on submission in the US and there is already a lot of interest.

She knows the law inside out; she trusts the law. But after a sexual assault against her, when she finds herself in the witness box facing the very system she once put her faith in, she quickly realises that something has to change.
