Dirk Mateer is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Kentucky. He is the author of Economics in the Movies. He is also nationally recognized for his teaching. While at Penn State, he received the George W. Atherton Award, the university's highest teaching award (2011), and was voted the best overall teacher in the Smeal College of Business by the readers of Critique magazine (2010). He was profiled in the "Great Teachers in Economics" series of the Gus A. Stavros Center for the Advancement of Free Enterprise and Economic Education at Florida State University. Lee Coppock is Associate Professor in the Economics Department at the University of Virginia. Lee has been teaching principles of economics for over twenty years, specializing in principles of macroeconomics. Before moving to UVA, he spent 9 years at Hillsdale College, where he learned how to reach college students. At UVA, Lee teaches two large (500+) sections of macro principles each spring. He has received teaching awards at both Hillsdale College and UVA. Lee lives in Charlottesville with his wife Krista and their four children: Bethany, Lee III, Kara, and Jackson.
