The novel starts with Amit in India following his father’s funeral there. Amit is a at a crossroads - he has left the military, broken up with his girlfriend and cannot commit to going to medical school – all of this along with the death of his father. Amit decides to try a pilgrimage and soon finds himself in Spain, embarking on the Camino de Santiago along with other seekers.

The story gets to the heart of some of life's most difficult lessons about family, devotion, and ambition.Amit's the quest is one we all take as we seek to get to the core of our own inner conflict, relationships, and most importantly, learn to love and forgive ourselves. Along the way he meets several strangers who become soul mates as they help Amit face his fears and embrace change, forgiveness and faith.

Kamal has authored two self-published books, Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends On ItandLive Your Truth. These have sold over 300,000 copies. He has also been a US Army Infantry soldier, held the hands of dying patients, climbed in the Himalayas, spoken to audiences around the globe, walked 550 miles across Spain, meditated with Tibetan monks, and has worked with some of the best people in Silicon Valley.
