Hollywood actor, director and producer Tim Matheson has been around.

In fact, he's been around for so long, it's important to be clear about WHICH Tim Matheson you're talking about. From Otter in the movie Animal House, to Beaver Cleaver's buddy on the show Leave It To Beaver, and to Doc Mullins on Virgin River, his ubiquitous face has helped define the golden era of entertainment. His stories? They kick ass.

From "third kid through the door" roles in fifties TV, to major motion pictures in his twenties and thirties, to the political drama The West Wing and, yes, current septuagenarian heartthrob on Netflix's hottest show Virgin River, which has recently garnered more than 105.4 million hours viewed WORLDWIDE, Matheson's story is synonymous with post-war Hollywood. By which, I mean the ups AND downs, the crazy coincidences and missed connections, the struggles, tragedies and triumphs. The learning and growing. The fucking up. The whole deal.

Tim Matheson began his acting career on shows like Leave It To Beaver, My Three Sons, Bonanza and other westerns. He has done voice work, was the voice of Jonny Quest, and even joined LA's improve troupe The Groundlings, which landed him his role in the legendary movie, Animal House. Nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Guest Actor in A Drama Series for The West Wing, Tim has gone on to cement his incredibly successful career in Hollywood that has spanned decades and shows no sign of stopping.
