SOFT APOCALYPSE

From the 2010 winner of the Hugo Award comes a debut novel about a dystopian world steadily unraveling at the seams. A young man, Jasper, wanders from city to city, trying to survive and seeking connection with the people that pass in and out of this nomadic environment. The tragedies they face - viruses, earthquakes, starvation, plagues - are the signs of a dying planet. Increasingly Jasper must come to terms with a post-apocalyptic existence: with only a few survivors left, cities destroyed, the only thing that awaits them is the end of the world as we know it.

Will McIntosh won the 2010 Hugo award for his short story Bridesicle, which was published in Asimov's. SOFT APOCALYPSE is his first novel.
