The Amazing Telemachus Family used to be famous, wowing the American public on talk shows and late night TV, all shepherded by their patriarch, Teddy. They were psychics, magicians, mind-readers. But one night, in front of a live studio audience, the magic doesn't show up... Discredited, shamed, the family withdraws, hunkers down in Chicago to live their own unhappy lives, coasting this way for years until Matty Telemachus, Teddy's grandson, finds a bit of the old Telemachus powers inside himself.
