7 RULES OF POWER
For all the talk of how the world has been fundamentally changed by new values and new technologies, power remains constant. If we are to navigate that uncertain landscape and ensure power is to be used for good, we all should be equipped with the knowledge and tools to access it. Drawing on a host of new revealing research, insights, and examples from his own vast experience, Pfeffer outlines and dives into seven fundamental rules to help people on that path, to overcome the obstacles that might lay ahead and to learn to embrace the realities of these underlying dynamics.
These 7 rules deepen the thinking about how organizational power and politics truly works and offer readers a more realistic and applicable understanding of what makes some people more successful than others. When harnessed correctly, power has the potential to not only radically alter people’s lives and career trajectories, but impact our broader organizations, communities, and society. That is, though, if we can grasp it.
