Forced to embrace the gift she has always tried to conceal, Charlie must find the missing girl and stop a dangerous predator from striking again. But someone is watching her every move, and the closer Charlie gets to the truth, the smaller her chances of ever leaving the island alive.

Hester Young is the author of two previous Charlie Cates novels, The Gates of Evangeline and The Shimmering Road.
