The Calliope Book

You can program your Calliope to make loads of interesting stuff. This book explains what you need and how to get started.

Once you have learned about your Calliope’s functions, you can write your first program and run it. Now you can use your Calliope to make a digital piano or an air guitar, a burglar alarm, a weather station, an electronic dice, a robot that is afraid of the light, and loads of other interesting things. You can even get your Calliope to join in games with your friends, or connect multiple Calliopes using Wi-Fi.

All the while, you are learning to program a computer. For every project you make, you have to write a program. You will learn what variables, loops, and conditions are, and how a computer and its components work. Learn to think like a programmer and start inventing your own Calliope projects, or tweak finished projects that you find on the internet.
