Seventeen-year-old Justine Kwong has dreamed of becoming a Formula 1 champion since before she was old enough to get a license. There's just one problem: no female driver has ever come close.

As a rookie driver for Formula 3, Justine is determined to leave the competition in the dust and earn her place in racing history. Sure, half her team including the obnoxiously handsome, infuriatingly talented, Cameron Owens thinks she's just a "check-the-box" diversity hire. But she knows they'll be forced to eat their words once she gets behind the wheel. Until a collision during a training exercise lands Justine and Cameron in the hot seat.

There's a Formula 2 seat on the line for next year the next rung on the ladder to F1 but they'll have to work together and learn to act as a team if either of them wants to achieve their dreams. Their assignment? To rebuild a vintage race car. From scratch.

Angelica Zhang was born in Shanghai and raised in the US. She received her BA from the University of Chicago and currently lives in the New York metropolitan area. Angelica is a finance professional by day and author by night. She enjoys writing stories about messy, ambitious girls who try their best despite the cards being stacked against them.
