Jin was born and raised in Beijing, China, and attended high school and college in the United States. She is a non-executive board member of both the luxury conglomerate Richemont Group, and the asset management company Stanhope and Forbes Trust. She holds a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University, and resides with her family in London.
