THE ORDERING OF LOVE
The New and Collected Poems of Madeleine L'Engle
In this specially packaged edition featuring an original foreword and newly commissioned reader's guide, The Ordering of Love brings together an exhaustive collection of over 200 original L'Engle's poems.
Madeleine L'Engle's writing has always translated the invisible, intricate qualities of love into the patterns and rhythms of visible life, from her fiction to spiritual memoirs. L'Engle's poetry is no less striking. "It is written out of pain, joy, and experience too great to be borne until it is ordered into words," she writes. "And then it is written to be shared." Doused in open-hearted vulnerability, The Ordering of Love reflects on themes of love, loss, faith, and beauty as she crafts her vivid and compelling insights into the language of the heart.
