THE OTHER SIDE OF LIFE
Jim Braddock, a prominent but self-centered surgeon ignores his wife's interest in theosophy and reincarnation, leaving her to her own devices while he immerses himself in his profession. Without warning, he suffers a serious heart attack and while his colleagues frantically work to save him, he has a near-death experience where he relives several episodes from his two previous lives in 1715 in France and in 1881 in Russia. He is stunned to learn that he had lived more than once where the law of cause and effect influenced his actions through the centuries. His remorse in neglecting his wife is genuine and when his colleagues succeed in reviving him, he recovers and reunites with his wife a contrite and better man. They go to Europe for a second honeymoon and return to a waiting son who is about to graduate from high school. It seems life has given Jim a second chance. Then tragedy strikes unexpectedly. Several years go by and when his son, now a married physician and expecting a child, hears his father's story, he is shaken but relieved by what his father tells him. Through a series of strange events, a surprise ending brings peace to the family.
