THE RIGHT MATCH
The Science of Finding the Right Life Partner, (Without Wasting Your Time, Energy—or Love)
In ATTACHED, Amir explained why we do what we do when we get together, which made for a very useful and bestselling guide. But it didn't answer the big question that precedes all the others: How do we get together?
How do you pair up? How do you date effectively, efficiently and painlessly?
THE RIGHT MATCH guides readers through the process of finding "The One," a process that is about far more than just lust, luck, or even careful thinking. In fact, in order to find a great partner, we need tools grounded in science.
Drawing on the latest research in the fields of biology, psychology and neuroscience, Levine gives readers the tools they need that will help them avoid the blind spots we all have due to the way our brains actually work.
This is a book that readers will rely on to nurture stronger, healthier relationshipsright up to the moment that they never need to look at it again.
Amir Levine, M.D. is an adult, child, and adolescent psychiatrist and neuroscientist. He graduated from the residency program at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University, and for the past few years Amir has been conducting neuroscience research at Columbia un-der the mentorship of Nobel Prize Laureate Eric Kandel. Amir also has a passion for working with patients, and it is in this context, while working with mothers and children in a therapeutic nursery, that he first discovered the power of attachment theory. His clinical work together with his deep understanding of the brain from a neuroscientist's perspective contribute to his appreciation of attachment theory and its remarkable effectiveness in helping to heal patients. Amir lives in New York City.
