THE SACRED SHE TAROT

Ma Deva Padma

A Universal Guide to the Heart of Being

From the internationally acclaimed artist who brought you the bestselling Osho Zen Tarot and Tao Oracle decks, Ma Deva Padma's The Sacred She Tarot is a must-have for both seasoned tarot readers and novices of the craft.
Our planet is shifting from a predominance of masculine yang energy to one of a feminine yin energy, helping all to find balance in our everyday lives. It was in recognition of this occurrence that The Sacred She Tarot was born. This seventy-eight-card deck was lovingly crafted to encourage spiritual growth and introspection for all genders and walks of life, emphasizing universal themes of feminine archetypes, nature, and a blending of Eastern and Western elements. Included in the descriptions for each card are reflective quotes from contemporary world visionaries in the fields of the arts, music, and spirituality.

Padma's work is inspired by the traditional Smith-Rider-Waite system; however, this tarot deck offers a different approach to interpreting the suits than other common decks. By naming each card and its suit for their symbolism and element instead of the more familiar major and minor arcana card titles, such as Spirit's Alchemy card instead of The Magician and Earth's Cooperation card instead of the Three of Pentacles, The Sacred She Tarot is an approachable deck for gaining new insight into your practice as well as a valuable divination tool capable of helping you tune in to the messages from the universe.

Padma, born Susan (Bernard) Morgan, attended the New England School of Art and the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts, became a mom, illustrated underground newspapers, learned gestalt therapy techniques, and sampled different forms of meditation. In 1972 she joined Oscar Ichazo's Human Potential Movement at the Arica Institute in New York. As her spiritual quest deepened, her search naturally shifted toward Eastern mysticism. Padma traveled to India, where her keen interest in Buddhist, Tibetan, and Islamic art blossomed. While she was a disciple of Osho (Rajneesh), he invited her to create The Osho Zen Tarot. She then moved to New Zealand to design the Tao Oracle based on the Chinese classic, I Ching. Both of her decks are now considered classics and continue to be enjoyed by millions around the world.
