THE THURSDAY MURDER CLUB

Richard Osman

The first in a planned crime series by UK TV presenter Richard Osman. It's set in a beautiful retirement village, where four very different residents meet every week over a bottle of wine, to go through local unsolved murder cases.
There's Red Ron, the infamous former socialist firebrand, still causing trouble wherever he can; there's gentle Joyce, widowed, pining for another resident, but surely not as innocent as she seems? Then's there's Ibrahim, a former therapist who understands the darker side of human nature; and Elizabeth? Well, no one is quite sure who she was, but with numerous aliases and too many stamps in her passport to count, she's definitely not a woman to underestimate. When a local developer is found dead, with a photograph of a group of former drugs kingpins left next to the body, the Thursday Murder Club suddenly have a case that's anything but cold on their hands. And as the bodies start to stack up, can they catch the killer before it's too late?

THE THURSDAY MURDER CLUB is voice-led crime fiction, with quirky narrators and full of brilliant observational humour, but a gripping murder mystery at its heart.
