She is a registered dietitian who completed a pre-medical, post-baccalaureate degree at Georgetown University and received her Masters of Nutrition Science at Teacher's College, Columbia University. She has written three cookbooks (POWER PLATES, FOOD52 VEGAN, and CHOOSING RAW), and is the author of the blog The Full Helping.
