THE WOMAN WHO WASN'T THERE

Angelo J., Jr. Guglielmo Robin Gaby Fisher

The True Story of One Woman?s Stunning Deception of America
The True Story of O

THE WOMAN WHO WASN'T THERE is the chilling story of an elaborate and incredibly odd deception and the woman who got away with it for years, set in the heart and aftermath of America's most infamous recent national tragedy, 9/11.
Robin Gaby Fisher and Angelo Guglielmo deliver the gripping and mesmerizing tale of a mysterious con and con artist, Tania Head, who convinced all who encountered her that she'd survived the World Trade Center attacks. She had a fabulously detailed and heartbreaking story of loss and recovery, which she used to take over a survivor's group, and to manipulate them and the public at large. Tania made no money by doing this, and she both seduced and shattered nearly all who encountered her.

THE WOMAN WHO WASN'T THERE is an intelligent, unusual--and unusually compelling--look at these infamous events and their aftermath, and at the life and lies of this charismatic woman, who improved, upended, and remade the lives of so many people, even though she wasn't there.

Robin Gaby Fisher is the author of New York Times bestseller After the Fire, the true story of two friends and their struggle to survive catastrophic injuries from the Seton Hall dormitory fire. She is a two-time finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Feature Writing; a member of a Pulitzer Prize winning team; and a winner of many other journalism awards.

Angelo J. Guglielmo, Jr. is the producer and director of the forthcoming documentary The Woman Who Wasn't There. He has made several award winning films, and written screenplays both optioned and in development. His 9/11 documentary, The Heart of Steel was an official selection at The Tribeca Film Festival.

In their deft, compelling narrative, Robin Gaby Fisher and Angelo J. Guglielmo, Jr. slowly, but inexorably, lift the curtain on one of the saddest, senseless, and yet most spectacular frauds in recent history.
