This wonderful non-fiction book takes a closer look at the mountains of the world. With Dieter Braun‘s expressive illustrations (Wild Animals of the World), it takes the reader from the Alps to the Andes and the peaks of the Himalayas. It portrays both the animals of the mountain regions, from the marmot to the yak or the condor, and humans, for example skiers or climbers, in the mountains. The book is supplemented by interesting texts examining questions such as which is really the highest mountain on Earth.
