Pilgrimage is to be on the road. On the road of your life. On the road with God. Pilgrims are not finished, they have not yet reached their goal. The longing for the goal, for God shapes the human life. If you want to follow your longing and make it stronger, find appropriate ways for your pilgrimage: Get out of the day to day structure of your life and be open for what you will find. Pilgrimage can then be both homesickness and wanderlust at once. The pilgrim wants to be with himself and with God and still not stand still. Distance to the usual is key for a pilgrimage.
