WHEN THE TREES WENT ON STRIKE
One day, the level of oxygen in German air begins to sink, slowly and steadily. Politicians strive to ensure the safety and health of all citizens. The business world senses a terrific new market. Scientists know why the oxygen level is declining: The trees have stopped photosynthesis. But nobody knows why they have done so. There is only one, absurd theory: The trees have gone on strike.
While some powerful players in politics and business pull out all the stops to take advantage of the situation for their personal gain, a group of young adults takes the strike thesis seriously and tries to persuade the trees to begin producing oxygen again.
A fast-paced and witty, razor-sharp and gloomy yet hopeful skit about our society's treatment of nature and the environment, and a perfect fit for our time of climate change, Fridays for Future and the Anthropocence.
