WHISKY VALLEY

Joan Sauers

Joan Sauers returns with the second book in the Southern Highland Mysteries series. Cosy crime but with a dark edge!
Historian Rose McHugh is recovering from the trauma of nearly being killed by a psychopath when she becomes snared in a new mystery. Her son's old school friend, Billy Mah, now a world-famous concert violinist with a torrid love life, is on tour in the Highlands when he goes missing. And his ten million dollar violin goes missing with him. Against the advice of Detective Joe Blackmore, Rose pursues the other members of Billy's string quartet, as well as his wealthy patron and her husband, a handsome psychologist whom Rose has been seeing for her PTSD. But is the real killer much closer to home? And will Rose's budding romance with a local whisky-maker turn out to be a dream-come-true, or another one of her nightmares? Set in the atmospheric villages and forests of the Southern Highlands, Whisky Valley sees Rose once again enmeshed in other people's dark obsessions and family secrets while nature conspires against her.
