WOLFHEAD
A gripping historical adventure from Sunday Times bestselling author Paul Finch, perfect for fans of Simon Scarrow, Ben Kane and David Gilman
In 1066, sixteen-year-old Saxon, Cerdic, lives with his brother, Unferth, and his father, Rothgar, Earl of Ripon, in Swaledale. Rothgar rules from a settlement on a hill called Wulfbury where Cerdic enjoys an easy life, full of freedoms being the younger sibling.
But when news arrives in the town that the King of Norway is on his way to invade, Rothgar is required to fight, taking with him a small group of mercenaries. Cerdic, keen to fight, is confined to Wulfbury where he struggles with his own anger and shame at not being able to fight alongside his family.
Then a man arrives to Swaledale with word from the battlefield: Earl Rothgar and his men have been defeated by the Vikings and many other English fighters have been killed. The Vikings are on their way and it's Cerdic's time to step up...
