Women’s Movement and Feminism

Beginning with the awakening of women in 1789, this book presents the history of the women's movement up to the present day: the beginning of organized social movements after the 1848 revolution; the highlights of their public activity around 1900; the rise of women to equal citizenship after the First World War; the emergence of a "new" feminism after 1970; and finally the situation of women and feminism and the change in gender relations since the turn of the millennium.
